Welcome to the FAQs page, where you'll find answers to common questions about my services, approach, and how to get started on your wellness journey. If you don't find what you're looking for here, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. I'm here to support you every step of the way.
What can I expect during a session?
Your journey begins with a comprehensive intake and in-depth consultation designed to understand you as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms.
Before we meet, I spend several hours reviewing your detailed health history, lifestyle patterns, and any previous labs or medical reports. During our 60–90 minute visit, we take the time to discuss your story in detail, exploring contributing factors such as:
Nutrition and eating habits
Gut health and digestion
Stress and nervous system regulation
Detoxification and toxic burden
Sleep, hormones, and energy balance
This extended session allows space for meaningful conversation and a personalized plan of action focused on long-term healing. After the session you will receive a summary write up explaining all the information we covered during your appointment as well as wellness plan to move forward with. Next steps may include labs to be completed or lifestyle/nutrition changes. Follow up meetings will be scheduled as needed.
Do you offer
virtual sessions?
Following your consultation, we'll devise a personalized plan to address your specific challenges and enhance your overall well-being. This plan may include counseling, mindfulness practices, and coaching.
What is Functional Medicine?
Functional medicine restores healthy function by addressing the root causes of disease. The functional medicine framework allows practitioners to systematically identify and address the underlying processes and dysfunctions that are causing imbalance and illness in each individual. By understanding a patient’s genetic, environmental, and lifestyle influences, functional medicine clinicians create personalized interventions that restore balance, health, and well-being. Providers may implement diet & lifestyle changes, help clients address stress, recommend supplements or herbs, refer clients to other service providers and more to help someone achieve better health. While Functional Medicine truly addresses the root cause of disease, it is not an instant fix. We are not just covering symptoms. To have success you must be committed to making changes and remaining consistent with your efforts.
Are you a primary care provider?
No, I am not. I am Registered Nurse which means I cannot prescribe nor can I diagnose. I can however use my knowledge and education to provide my clients with coaching, guidance, recommendations and information that can help them navigate and overcome health issues. I always encourage my clients to consult with the primary care providers and I am happy to worry in conjunction with them for the benefit of my clients.
